About Pilates

Pilates

Pilates is a full-body exercise method with an emphasis on core strength. It helps to improve your general fitness and overall well-being.

If practiced with consistency, Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body.

Reformer

One of the most popular Pilates equipment. You can lie, sit or stand on it and perform exercises which push, pull or hold the carriage steady while the springs provide the right amount of resistance needed.

We perform a full body workout on the reformer including feet, arms, core, hips, legs, upper- and mid back.

Arc (spine corrector) and other aids

The arc (spine corrector) is a beautiful aid that is often used in my workouts to open up the upper body, do (passive) back extensions, but also to strengthen the core.

Many other aids are used like the magic circle, weights, small ball, swiss ball etc.

Mat

I also combine some of the mat exercises in the workouts depending on client needs/ benefits. If basics are practiced well on the mat, exercises can be more easily mastered on the reformer.
